3 hours driving from Bangkok. You could fill up tropical vibe even in short weekend and not just the sea but there are many unseen places for you to stop by. We could guarantee by the scenic pictures in your camera.
If you think Rayong is just a little city by the sea. I think you might be wrong. Rayong has many beaches and greenery forest terrains area which you can tell that Rayong has many unseen destinations for you to check out from the forest to the sea.
Here is our plan for 2 days trip that you can adapt for your perfect weekend!
Day 1 : Out from Bangkok in the morning. Have a seafood lunch at Varee seafood restaurant and took some sea scenic photo at Ban pae beach.
Near a dusk we had arrived at Villa Bali to catch a perfect picture in the golden hour which has the most beautiful light of the day.
Day 2 : We could see Mae pim beach opposite from your hotels room. From there, we had a stop at Lam son beach and Prong Thong hill. We had end the trip by chilling at the old café in the old city of Rayong.

Khao Leam Ya National Park
We had a lovely feeling with this place. You can see how beautiful it this in the picture but nothing compare to a real thing! Deep green forest by the deep blue sea. If you had a visit in the golden hour that is the golden time for you!
You could settle the camp here. As for us who had a love at first sight here. We settle a camp to stay a night and spend the time at the beautiful scenic of the sunset.
Open-close time : 08.30 am – 16.30 pm.
Entrance fee : Adult 40 bath. Children 20 bath.

Ban pae beach, Lam Mae Pim.
Actually, We intend to go to Samet but we could not catch a boat in time! On the way we notice the beach while had a lunch at restaurant so we decide to had a visit. This beach has a calmly vibe and good for catching a landscape picture.
Lam Mae Pim is opposite to our hotel. As we expect, beautiful sand beach by the deep blue sea was so beautiful! If you want to change a vibe from Samet. Let these calmly beaches be the one or two choices for your destination.
There are many beaches and pier along a way in Rayong. You could have a visit and get a beautiful scenic anywhere you want! Maybe , you could catch the unseen beach which no one couldn’t!
Villa Bali Eco Resort
We spend most of the time for choosing a hotel for perfect every-single valuable time there.
Well it is summer time. It is time for traveling and chilling so , we had choose this hotel.
What interstes us? Not just a beautiful scenic (which is more beautiful than a picture) but there are tasty Italian pizza to try out. There are 2 twin home villa available for you and your friends to have a good time with a cheap price! (Just 1,000 bath/person).

Laem Son
We know this place from the owner of Varee restaurant. She is photographer who likes to take a picture around Rayong and Laem son is one of them.
Along the way to the destination. We could see many pine trees around 2 Kilometers along the way. This road sure is one of the beautiful scenic road in Rayong that you can have a picnic or chill out at the side of the road.
Prong Thong Hill
Once again, this place is beyond our expectation! We do not think about this place too much. Just passing by and get the greenery breeze by the sea. But this place is huge! that we glad to had this place on the list.
Along the forest path that you could stroll or row a boat. Ceriops forest and a soil smell lingering in the air. After walking through a hot sun around the city. Let’s stroll under the green big trees.
Prong Thong hill is open for tourist everyday :06.00 am. – 18.00 pm.
Free entrance but there is car parking fee (25 minutes).
Yom Jin Da Street
The first street in Rayong which was the first trading street by the river. The old city vibe still lingering along a street. If you had been in Phuket or Chantaburi old street, That’s a vibe! The old town with old fashion wood-building facility there were many kinds of café and restaurant for you.
Rayong (hight pictch) Roti snack café that we recommend for you! And do not forget to fill up your tummy with local restaurant around.
