Chang Puek mountain or Khao Chang Puek is the famous mountain in the national park of Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi. This mountain is open once a year and has been limited the number of tourists to reserve the beauty of nature which you have to fight for getting your hotel reservation here! How so? First, look out at the website and the review and do not forget your stuff for a stay over at the mountain top such as lighter, sleep bag, and for a tent you can rent them at the customer service here. Lastly, your good health for challenge 1,249 meters or about 8 kilometers from the ground.
E-Thong Village
A starting point in the village at the feet of the mountain. You can buy some stuff and meet the national park ranger and hire your helper to get your stuff to the top. We recommend you hire them so you can spend more time on the beauty of your surrounding.
When you started, you would see the disappearance of the home village to the green forest as far as you climb.
We have started our climbing trip nearly noon so, the sun is burning us! We have to find some spot to rest sometimes and had lunch before facing the tougher path ahead.
You have to respect and follow the ranger’s instructions for your own safety. We have to stay the night at ‘Kew Lom’ the tent area before reaching the top of the mountain tomorrow.
The big challenge at ‘San Kom Meed’.
San Kom Meed is the name of the narrow path which is ‘the toughest path’ of the mountain. Before you reach the top there must be some obstacle to challenge your stamina but don’t worry because the ranger will help you out of this area.
When we reached the top what we saw was the beauty of Thailand-Myanmar borderline view below. 360° view that will be another memorial of this trip. The ranger told us to go down this mountain before dusk because we had to go through San Kom Meed.
Sleepover at Kew Lom tent area.
The day we climb down from the top we had to stay another night in the tent area. From this height that you could reach out to the star, one of our romantic night! Even in the romantic night, you could have the fresh morning from looking at the sun rising up in the early morning. These beautiful views prove to us that we had through the times of our life at the mountain top.
