Follow the eco-tour step with ‘Low Carbon’ traveling

‘If humanity could left the less carbon while traveling, it would be the most important things for humanity in the future’

Eco has been gained more attention. You could see many eco-trend among countries. Your friends and family had been aware of using plastic for lessen a plastic trash. There are something traveling related that I would like to share. It is called ‘low carbon’ or ‘Carbon footprint’.

What is Carbon Footprint? They are the footprints of carbon dioxide from human activity that has measured as kilogram or ton carbon. 1 year tons carbon could made many consequence such as energy recycling or a regulation for lessen carbon dioxide level.

These are serious matters that you should be aware. Carbon dioxide were mainly increased from traveling .Us traveler has been discover and gain the beauty of the nature so it is time to know and give something back to nature. Start from low carbon traveling.

Anyway , This style of travel does not give you a limit or anything inconvenient. I would like to recommend the low carbon style from these 2 destinations that were fun and interesting just like travel in other popular places!

1. Udonthanni – Nongkai route

These route are especially for foodies! If you want to try the home made traditional food. It is the time! The ingredients were fresh picked from the back yard without any chemicals added. Food is the reflection of the culture and their living with the nature.

From French to Udontthani, with love.

Early morning traveling to Undonthani. How about having a tradition breakfast there? From west to east cultures. The influences from the French culture lead to the continental style breakfast such as pan omelet , Kao Ji (Grilled sticky rice)  and baguette with cooked pork roll and cooked red pork fillers in WWII era.

Zero Waste forest.

Head from 2021 highway to Amphow Nayoong. There is the village that surround by the sand mountains at Baan Keeree wong so this village is called ‘Maze village’. Find the only way out through the curvy road.

Hua Chang Plai waterfall is a small waterat foot of Tai Baan Hill. Your feets on the water and get your hands on the tradition foods that are served on the banana leafs such as grilled chicken wings , papaya salads serves on the bamboo plate , grilled tilapia fish , orange spicy soup , fried fish serves on bamboo plate and finish with rice and sticky rice that are served on bamboo plate.

These reusable stuffs from the nature could save more than twice a waste for a day. No need to using the energy to get rid of them and easy for the tourist serving with unique style!

Sip the fine coffee of Nayoong and pray at the beautiful temple at Wat Par Phu Kon.

From Baan Keeree wong village to Wat Par Phu Kon. There are a coffee farm on the side of the road. This is the organic farm that has fine Arabica coffee bean and many kinds of fruit such as rambutan ,  durian ,lychee and longun.

Na young coffee is the famous local coffee that using wash processing so it would give out the moderate aroma and rich taste. You could brew a drip coffee and espresso. As for the left over from the processing could make a coffee soap or fertilizer for use in the farm.

Travel forward for 30 minutes you will arrve Wat Par Phu Kon. The calm atmosphere under the temple of Rattanakosin era. The design and the art were came from the history also the white marble Buddha statue ‘ Pra Put Ta Sai Yart Lokkanart Sassada mahamuni’.

Taste a heartfelt meal at Wang Nam Mok.

‘Kin Kao Sao Huen’ is the words to define the community traveling at Baan Wang Nam mok. You would get the warm welcome from the villager from the tasty meal with some chit-chat group and rest for a night at village.

Wake up and make a merit in the morning by offer foods to the monk. Grill a sticky rice roll and get some coffee and start the trip by visiting a house like visit your own neighborhood. You will see the cultures and learn their living from Na yon farming, Silk weaving to planting tips.

2. Nakon Panom – Mook Da Han route

These 2 cities were 100 kilometers far from each other. When you just passing by, It would take 1 hour but differently if you stop and take a tour. It would take 3-4 days because of many interesting places!

Along the way from these 2 cities. There are many tourism destination to stop by. We would like to suggest the cycling tour that would lessen the Co2 and you can take sometimes to visit a place by place. Start from Mitrapab 3 bridge. There are bicycle road for you and also called one of the most beautiful bicycle road in Thailand. 

Down the road with the river down below you will meet Nakon Panom people living along the way. Their smile would light up your mood. At the side you will pass the beautiful landmark ,Catholic church .

Phra Tat Pa Nom

Sleep in the calm and chill hotel by Koong river and wake up early to catch the morning light at Phra Tat Pa Nom.You could stay until dusk for the night market around. The market has open every Monday and Thursday. The merchants would across the river from Lao so you will see many boat parked around the temple.

Take it slow.

Just 40 kilometers away you will reach Mook Da Haan but why rushing when there were tourism destinations nearby. First , Kang Kra Bao the rapid point in the middle of the river at Baan Na Kae , Waan Yai , Mookdahan. Chilling by the beautiful rapid and the big statue of Naga ‘Sriphuchong mookdaNakkaratch’ in the evening.

Tire from traveling? Stop and breath at Wat Song Kon church by the river. Pray at mother ‘Morana Sakkee ‘. This place is a memorial for the 7 Christians who had sacrifice their beliefs to the god.

If you see the white big Buddha statue in front of you, that was the sign that you has arriving at Mookdahan! This place called Phu Mano Rom or Wat Roi Phra Phutthabat Phu Manorom not just The great Buddha statue. You will see the big Naga statue with 20 meters height!

Kong river fish.

At the beginning we have suggest that this route for foodies. Not just the tradition foods from the farm but here at the big river has the best freshwater fishes in Thailand. Low carbon meal with low carbon fish from the river. The fishermen here had using none carbon fishing method and send directly to the local merchants.

We would like to recommend Danang Nam Nueng . The pork roll that gather many kinds of vegetables , pork and thin white roll (no need to wash it) together that would melt in your mouth.
