Want to go for a trip but want to save your annual leave?
Let’s go to Chantaburi! You can both climb up the mountain and get yourself wet at the sea.
Do not need to book a ticket to get there, just 3 hours driving from Bangkok!
The wonderful place and the nice people here waiting for you.
Are they good reasons enough for you to come here?
Chantaburi is located by the sea which across to Cambodia. By the sea view, you could join in the local village culture and taste many foods that I highly recommend!
If you want to go out but have no time to plan, have no much money (Your bonus is still on the way). Chantaburi is the best for you. Fill up your camera with a great picture from here and fill up your positive energy from the nature that wasted by your (boring?) weekday works.
Chantabun tradition village
Feel the traditional atmosphere of the Chantaburi local village by the river. This Chinese – Vietnamese local village is full of good food for you to fill up. Let me suggest you what I had: Kang noddle soup, Fried chives dumpling, Chinese roll noodle soup Sugar-coated popsicle (Krabueng popsicle), Orange juice (Mapped juice), Pad Thai (Fried That noodle), Fried spicy pork, Cooked pork noodle soup, Drip coffee, Sweet circle shape roti, Cooked pork with Chamueng leaves, White roll dumping, Mung Bean Flour with Coconut Dessert (Leum Kluen). ‘How could I ate all of these?’ Yes, I wonder.
300 years ago, During King Rama 5’s reign. This village had been trading with foreign merchants so you can see many faculty or building were inspired by European mixing with Asian designs.
Anyway, this village is not meant to be an all-for-traveling business. The local people do still living with their own traditional culture.
Of course, not just for the show. You can buy a noodle soup from a friendly grandma or see a fried chives dumpling cart passing by and see many children play together by the port.
Things you can see and learn from this village not just by their living but they had built an education center here by the port. In this place, you can see old pictures and letters. Also, you can ask the people there. Don’t be shy, they are all friendly.
Baan Luang Rachamaitri (Luang Rachamaitri guest house)
I had made a word to my self when I saw this guest house picture ‘I need to come here’. It was love at first sight. The calming atmosphere by the newly-renovated boutique hotel even it was renovated but they still remain their vintage style. The calming guest house by the river. I chose the room by the river, named ‘East Asiatic’ so I could rest with style!
Each room has the name from the local story ‘Father and mother’s room’ ‘Male student’s room’ ‘Female student’s room’ ‘Mhor tod’ room’. My room ‘East Asiatic’ was named after the first company trading with Luang Rachamontri, the beginning of Thai rubber trading from Chantaburi to the Asia trading business.
What is a more interesting story of this hotel is the owner of this hotel is not just the people but everyone! This place has been running by the local people. Not only just maintain the traditional living around their home but also the business as well which impress me a lot! Together, they have to manage the business and separate the income for their living not just for the people so every employee here is ALL local people. No need to hire people from outer!
Service from local people who serves you the high standard services. Start with Mapped juice as the welcome drink. The first meal of the day was from the local market such as Chinese roll noodle soup, porridge, Chinese fried stick. Enjoy all you can eat buffet! Check it out at the calming and traditional boutique hotel by the river at Chantaburi.

When I was there I got to see a sea turtle, Shark (!) but not anyone can see them. My friends were there too but they saw only seashells. This place was not that big but good things that you can feed the sea living closely.
